<title>Investigation of geological features and economical potential of commercial marble around Yarışlı lake, Burdur (SWTurkey)</title>

<description>Investigation of geological features and economical potential of commercial marble around Yarışlı lake, Burdur (SWTurkey)
Yılmaz, Muhammet; Caran, Şemsettin
Limestones, travertines and dolomites are sedimentary rocks. In marble sector, these carbonate rocks can&#13;
be named as commercial marbles in addition to the geological marbles. Despite the huge reserves of&#13;
carbonate rocks in Turkey, there is a limited amount of carbonate reserves that have the desired&#13;
properties preferred by the marble sector. Tauride belt in the southern Turkey has one of the important&#13;
parts of these reserves. This study has focused on the geological features of commercial sedimentary&#13;
marbles represented by dolomite and limestone deposits around Yarışlı Lake and evaluation of their&#13;
economical potential. The Dutdere Limestone occuring within the Lycian nappes is observed around the&#13;
Yarışlı Lake and have a special color and texture which are very desirable in marble industry. The&#13;
limestones, known as “Sandia” marble, are the only current source for lightning texture in the marble&#13;
industry. In this area, there is also a type of marble named as “Bayulan” marble with smoot cream beige&#13;
color that have industrial marble potential.

<title>Evaluation of the children and adolescents taking health care measure in terms of mental health</title>

<description>Evaluation of the children and adolescents taking health care measure in terms of mental health
Okur, Koray; Aktaş, Uğur; Kuday Kaykısız, Eylem
In addition to social problems, children are exposed to neglect and abuse in various ways due to&#13;
developmental periods or many problems in family and social relations. The negative consequences of&#13;
this abuse and neglect, affect not only one’s self but also society, social organizations, legal systems,&#13;
education system and business areas. Therefore, it is important to know child profile which is decided to&#13;
take health care measure. In this retrospective, observational study, data including demographic&#13;
information, reasons for taking health care measures, diagnoses after psychological evaluation and&#13;
termination of the injunction decision of children who were taken health care measure and referred to a&#13;
child adolescent mental health professional, were scanned and recorded. The total number of children&#13;
included in the study was 66. There was no statistically significant difference in terms of gender. It is&#13;
seen that the most frequent first-reference hospital was the central hospital and the injunction was&#13;
increased every year; the most common reason was the protection of physical and mental health; 59% of&#13;
the cases were not diagnosed; 39.3% were terminated later and the most termination reason was to be&#13;
18-year-old. The studies to be carried out with prospective, multicentre, large patient groups are needed&#13;
in order to determine the drift rates of children by examining the health measures and to establish the&#13;
cause-effect relationship.

<title>Efficiency analysis of solar supported integrated water heatingdistillation</title>
<link>http://dspace.beu.edu.tr:8080/xmlui/handle/123456789/13855</link>
<description>Efficiency analysis of solar supported integrated water heatingdistillation
Çakmak, Gülşah; El, Emin; Yıldız, Cengiz
In the present study, a system that combines hot water collector and distiller for the purpose of&#13;
increasing efficiency in solar water heating systems and simultaneously producing distilled water is&#13;
designed. Obtained results are compared with conventional solar distiller developed under the same&#13;
conditions. It has been determined that in the distiller system connected with hot water collector, daily&#13;
distilled water amount is 7924 ml, 4610 ml of which is during daytime and 2790 ml of which is during&#13;
night-time. This developed system produces fresh and hot water simultaneously. It has been observed&#13;
that hot water temperature is at appropriate levels for local usage. In conventional basin type distiller,&#13;
the total water amount produced during daytime and night-time were measured as 844 ml and 1545 ml,&#13;
respectively. It has been determined that the total distilled water amount produced in one day in this&#13;
system is 2389 ml. Efficiencies of conventional and integrated with hot water collector distiller systems&#13;
continuously increase during the day and reach at 51.47% and 77.98% levels, respectively. Compared to&#13;
conventional distiller, 70% more distilled water was obtained.

<title>New approximate formula for the arrhenius temperature integral by using incomplete gamma functions</title>
<link>http://dspace.beu.edu.tr:8080/xmlui/handle/123456789/13854</link>
<description>New approximate formula for the arrhenius temperature integral by using incomplete gamma functions
Eser, Erhan; Koç, Hüseyin
A new analytical formula for the Arrhenius integral has been proposed by using incomplete gamma&#13;
functions, which is simple, accurate and reliable. The proposed formula has compared with several&#13;
published the Arrhenius integral approaches, and is in agreement with the other approaches. Compared&#13;
with the other approximate formulas proposed in the literature, our proposed method gives more accurate&#13;
values in the precision of the activation energy as a function of x and temperature.
