In this study, the renewal process whose times between the intervals are gamma-diffused has been
examined. In the situation where the sampling is Randomly Right Censored, a Parametric Estimator is
recommended, which depends on the Maximum Likelihood Estimators of the unknown parameters of the
gamma diffusion; and the statistical characteristics of these estimators have been investigated.

Cengiz, Mehmet Sait; Mamiş, Mehmet Salih
Energy is an important problem in Turkey as well as the whole world. Since Turkey has insufficient
sources in terms of fossil energy sources, it is dependent on foreign. However, Turkey has rich resources
in terms of solar energy (SE). The European Union countries (EU) try to generalize solar energy through
promotions performing studies for raising awareness for generation of electricity from the sun. In
Turkey, required importance is not given to the studies to raise the awareness and promotions In this
study, the SE investments that will be made in the long turn, the promotions that can be given by the public
and the economic contributions made to the country are examined by comparing the SE potential of the
world countries. Assessments on the fact that Spain, as a sample, which has made a move benefitting from
heat source SE with CSP systems in the last decade and which ranks the 4th in this field in the world can
be a model for Turkey is included. As a result, analysis and assessments have been made on that Stirling
Engine Solar Systems that are appropriate for using and generating electricity individually among CSP
systems should be generalized in Turkey.

City of Bitlis 2014 Air Pollution Emission Inventory
TURP, Sinan Mehmet; TURP, Güldane Aslı
Air pollution adversely affects the lives of all the living, in particular human health. In case its effect
increases and it continues to harm the living, it will cause countless health issues and this will incur
economical losses in our country. The use of poor-quality coal leads to an increase in air pollution. The
coals of this quality used in the city of Bitlis have led to the increase of air pollution. In order to ensure
air quality, the polluting amounts should be decreased and the national pollution limiting values should
be such that they are applicable. Monitoring the current pollution state by preparing an emission
inventory for developing future clean air plans and taking the necessary measures is important for
laying out the extent of the air pollution problem. Under the Clean Air Action Plan for the City of Bitlis,
the city was evaluated in respect of its general characteristics and considered with regard to the
distribution characteristics and effects on human health of the pollutants. The amount of coal consumed
in Bitlis in 2014 was obtained from Bitlis Directorate of Environment and Urbanization and this value is
approximately 32802 tons. In 2014, due to coal firing in Bitlis, the amounts released to the atmosphere
are calculated to be 1178 tons/year for SO2 emission, 105 tons/year for NO2, 124 tons/year for PM10 and
1316 tons/year for CO.
