23 Ekim 2011 Van depreminin geniş bant uzak-alan cisim dalga şekillerinin sonlu-fay modellemesi deprem kırılmasının ters faylanma olduğunu ve tek taraflı olarak GB’ya yayıldığını göstermiştir.
