dc.description.abstractIn this study, an illumination system model that designed to be used in road lighting is proposed. The most important motivation of the study is to provide energy efficiency in illumination. In the study, it is aimed to integrate renewable energy sources and increase the efficiency of these devices, especially which are used in road lighting. In this context, a Photovoltaic (PV) powered LED luminaire was designed. The design is modeled on the basis of Proteus, and the main purpose of using this software is to plan the physical realization of the design. The necessary control was made with a pulse-with modulation (PWM) based algorithm that works adaptively according to the ambient illumination level, and the obtained simulation results revealed that the proposed system works as intended.tr_TR
